Responsibilities: Advise teachers as to what products best suit their needs, creation of product displays and signs, work closely with customers to meet their various needs, management of cash drawers, edit employee newsletter, write book reviews.

Accomplishments: I began as a cashier and worked my way up, first to the teacher resource department then textbooks and customer service because of my commitment and wide range of skills. I received an "I Care Award" for going above and beyond what was expected of me.

I taught English lessons to two classes of 10-11 year old Chinese students

Responsibilities: Create and teach lessons, aid in after school activities, supervise students on field trips.

Additional Information

I spent time as an education major, both elementary and social studies for middle level and high school. I spent one semester shadowing a sixth grade English teacher, during which I interacted with students and taught a lesson.

Professional Membership: Green Project UNI: became a member in Fall of 2006, took on a secretarial leadership role in Fall 2007. UNI Textiles and Apparel Association, member 2010-2011

Study Abroad: Capstone in China teaching English, summer 2008.

Interests

I enjoy singing, alone or with groups.  I am an avid fiction reader when I have the chance.  I love travelling and learning about different cultures.  I especially like to cook and sew, and find new ways to do both.
