Responsibilities: Interpreting for Hindi and Nepali speaking refugees when they are being resetteld by the IRC and also accompanying new immigrants in the community to doctors appointments, office visits and schools to interpret and assist them in paperwork.
Accomplishments: Able to contribute my language skills to the resettlement work that IRC does even if I was one of the refugees that was ressttled by the organization.
Youth Coordinator (02/12/2007 – 04/24/2009)
As a youth coordinator I was responsible for the mentoring and initiation of young adults 15-25 years old to increase their community involvement; increase the STD, AIDSa dn HIV awareness; and also cooperating with other agencies in human rights and aid work.
