Objective
I am applying for a new part time position at Blockbuster for the reason to use the skills I have aquired over time and from previous working environments. This would allow me to take experiences of working with many people from Empire Theaters as well as the physical labor from numerous farms.
Work Experience
Farm Labourer (09/05/2007 – 04/01/2008)
Working on a turnip farm has shown me the physical labor which comes with any job and has also trained me to communicate with incoming business people as well as fellow employees.

Responsibilities: When working on any farm you are responsible for working as hard as you can at a fast pace as well as being able to speak to incoming business people. I was also responsible for showing up on time for every shift to ensure that the workload did not fall behind.
Supervisor, Usher, Concessions (04/14/2009 – Present)
Working for Empire Theaters has allowed me to communicate with numerous people as well as work around a large crew of people and work on a cash til. I was a supervisor so I experienced a vast amount of responsiblities as well as speaking to a crew of workers in order for them to work to their full ability.

Responsibilities: As a supervisor, I was responsible for directing co-workers to work and keep focus on what they are supposed to do. I was also responsible for handling money and counting stock. As an usher, I was responsible for making sure every theater was to perfect condition as well as communicate with people who come to the theaters.
Accomplishments: -First Ever Employee of the Year 2009, Employee of the Month (November 2010), Dare to be There Award (for showing up on time and coming in when needed).

Degree: Grade 12
Details: I am currently in grade 12 and am planning on graduating from Charlottetown Rural and proceeding by attending UPEI to enter a degree in Sciences.
Skills
Working in two completely different environments has allowed me to obtain skills which will allow me to work in many different environments in the future. I also play numerous sports which has shown me the meaning of team work and hard work.
Interests
I am very interested in sports and anything which allows me to work hard and enjoy what I am doing at the same time. This is related to my life as a parent because it is the hardest working job. Being a parent has allowed me create a schedule around Charlie (my son) as well as work at a job and go to school and it has been very successful.
