Responsibilities: Creating a meaningful activity program for 65 residents. This includes, admission assessments, care planning, daily documentation, close relationships with residents and families. Also, responsible for MDS, Recovery Track information, IDT meetings, Care planning meetings, and any other meeting required of my present job. Also, have completed sales calls as part of our Sales and Marketing Program. I also am in charge of 5-10 volunteers at any one time. I am a supervisor of one employee. Accomplishments: Certified Activity Director Was nominated as Champion of Community Strong Program. May 2010 was awarded with Most Resident Focused. On multiple occasions, was asked to assist other facilities with getting their program where they needed it to be, as well as have trained 4 new Activity Directors into their positions over the last 2 years.

Additional Information

During my career as Life Enrichment Director, I had the opportunity to work with other departments and assit them as needed with their work. Examples: assist nursing with various audits, assist Social Services Director with cognitive assessments, mini-mentals, depression scales, assistng Nutrition Services Manager with Food Preferences, etc. I feel that as Life Enrichment Director I have had the opportunity to better myself, and learn more about a multitude of other careers that would assist me in bettering myself and increasing education.
