Responsibilities: Consistently manage medium/high impact projects and coordinate external and internal resources for those projects. Provide guidance and basic decision making for Tier 2 and 3 support staff. Daily management of 1000 node network consisting of 150 pieces of switchgear and 173 severs. New configuration and installation of all network equipment, including Cisco, Intermec, IBM, NEC and many other types. Daily time tracking, ticket management, backup monitoring, ESX tuning, SAN adjustments and load balancing.

Accomplishments: Designed and managed build of an 800 Sq. ft. corporate Data Center, Designed and implemented large VM Ware 3.x, 4.x environment built on IBM H series blades spanning 3 facilities. Implemented ISP class wireless backbone spanning 100 miles carrying VOIP and Data. Implemented multiple wireless networks over several million square feet of warehousing and processing Implemented multiple new facilities via VPN, commercial WIFI, Cellular and T-1 technologies.

Network Project Engineer (03/01/2005 – 01/01/2009)

Responsibilities: Worked with Non-IT managers to develop stronger relationships within IT Support. Heavily focused efforts and time on learning about Process Control networking and how IT could better support the Plant in this aspect. Provided 24 X 7 on-call remote support to 5 different locations.

Accomplishments: Served as Project Manager in the design and build of 7 warehouses ranging in size from 25,000 to 300,000 sq. ft. Worked with Engineering to properly layout building and product to best suit wireless network. Implemented 3 separate process control networks consisting of more than 30 production lines.

Network Engineer (10/01/2003 – 03/01/2005)

Responsibilities: Receive and diagnose all network support desk tickets; escalate as needed. Implemented and continuing administration of all data collection hardware; including an Intermec wireless infrastructure(90 AP?????s) and a complete wireless bar code scanning\printing system of over 150 nodes. Assist in management of all network security systems, including web and e-mail monitoring software. Sole responsibility for Mcaffe ePolicy Orchestrator and Desktop virus scan. Developing Norton Ghost and Veritas as an integral part of a Diaster Recovery plan for all Microsoft Servers. Responsible for 650,000 dollar budget, this was for the implementation of an entire warehouse infrastructure consisting of 2.5 miles of fiber and 30 Cisco devices.
