Safety Representative (10/16/1989 – Present)
Trained hundreds of workers in government sponsored safety training. Developed policies and training for safety related reasons. Managed the training requirements for 17 JHSC at Vale. Have worked in heavy industrial, hard rock mining sector for 20 years.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the duties of JHSC co-chair duties under the OHSA laws and regulations. Ensure workplace inspections are completed and recommend retifying actions. Follow-up with management on agreed to actions to be taken. Managed the duties of 3 teams of 15-20 persons. Investigate accidents and recommend preventative measures for future risks.
Accomplishments: Currently in Honors program for Labour Studies at Laurentian University. Have represented parties in Court Inquest proceedings to fatalities in a mine or mining plant. Recently elected to position of Chief Steward of Operations for over 3000 workers..
