objective

I would like to dedicate myself to the design and development the most advanced artificial intelligence systems available for the financial industry. My background in finance, computer programming, neuroscience and mathematics enable me to understand every details of such multidisciplinary application.

Work Experience

MSc Psychiatry (06/01/2007 – 02/26/2010)

- Study the effect of acute and chronic stress on synaptic plasticity due to NMDAR subunits expression in the medial Prefrontal Cortex of rats.
- Multi-Cellular Electrophysiology: Performed electrophysiological recordings in the medial prefrontal cortex of behaving animals with 16 microelectrodes on a Plexon system for multi-cellular recordings.
- Computational Neuroscience: Developed a two-compartment integrate-fire model to mimic multi-cellular electrophysiological data during stress of rat's mPFC neurons to measure NMDAR conductance alterations using Matlab.
- Molecular Biology: Performed western blots of NR1, NR2A and NR2B NMDA subunits for protein expression with their phosphorylated version as well.
- Behavioral Testing: Performed behavioral working memory testing with a T-maze in order to assess the effect of acute and chronic stress.

Last Employer: Department of Psychiatry, McGill University.
