Objective

The writer has been a nurse for the past 34 years with a primary career path as a psychiatric nurse.  I have accummulated a strong reference and knowledge base that would position me well as an instructor for  practicuums and classroom seminars. Mentorship has been congruent with the line nurse role experienced over a number of years in Vancouver and Vernon. Valuable personal strengths: the ability to actively listen and observe in order to discern student needs; to work with students to provide the practical experiences to meet their objectives; to form a collaborative approach that also assists with my own learning; to direct students so that they learn the principles of what is required to be part of a team effort when providing patent care;  to emphasize the need that the client comes first inclusive of preserving their respect and dignity while approaching individual barriers with imagination and creativity.
