Work Experience

Realtor (11/01/2008 – Present)

Although real estate is typically a cut-throat, every-man-for-himself type of business I was able to utilize my team building skills to identify a few like-minded agents and mortgage brokers and begin a Mastermind Group. We started with 4 agents and in a few months grew to a group of nearly 20 people helping, supporting and motivating each other and holding each other accountable. All of us have improved as a result of this group.

Interests

I have a passion for helping others accomplish things they never thought possible.  I know that my success can be attributed to me stumbling across just the right person at a few critical junctures in my life. The influence of these people guided me in ways I could never appreciate at the time but that, in retrospect, may have saved my life. My passion is to be just the right person at just the right time to as many people as I possibly can and I take immense pleasure being involved in helping others achieve their dreams.

Outside of the workplace I utilize the same skills and passion in my volunteer roles. I am a Support Group Facilitator with the Alzheimer Society, helping victims and their caregivers. I also am a Crisis Responder with Victim Services Elgin and a Disaster Response Volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. I have also served as a past director for the Canadian Red Cross and the Twin City Minor Tackle Football Association.

I love to read, am studying Spanish and have a goal of being a blues harmonica player. I also have a dream of learning to fly a helicopter.
