Sales (02/17/2007 – Present)

I am currently on the sales floor at Mike Smith Honda. Daily training to learn the product as well as learning management duties as need be. In my 2 years here, I have been the Selling Assistant for 6 months, the Assistant Sales Manager for 5 months and the Used Car Manager for 2 months. My job title was eliminated due to Group 1 closing down the pre-owned department. In order to keep me with the company they agreed to send me to Honda until the next manager position became available.

Responsibilities: In my 2 years here at Mike Smith I was in sales for a little over a year. This included GMC certification and Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler certification. Developing customer service skills was a must in the auto industry as well as knowing my product better than anyone else in my department. I was also the internet manager for GMC for 2-3 months until they moved me to Dodge to the Selling Assistant position. I was in charge of inventory, auctions, the sales staff, and being the desk manager when needed. Then moved to the Assistant Sales Manager position which contained many of the same responsibilities including loading car deals, turning on customers, and some finance training. I have worn many hats here at Mike Smith which I have enjoyed but I am really needing to find one solid job which I can concentrate my time and energy on.

Accomplishments: Being premoted from a sales position all the way up to Sales Manager in less than 2 years was a great achievement for me.

Teacher/Coach (04/01/2006 – 06/01/2007)

I was the 9th grade History teacher for Warren High School. I also coached varsity football, baseball , and golf there as well.

Responsibilities: I was the High School Social Studies teacher and had to coach 3 sports during the year. Working with students daily built patience, undertanding, and also how to keep discipline in order. Being familiar with computers was a must. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Processing were used daily. Having 25 students in your class all day was challenging but gave me some great characteristics I will carry with me for life.

Accomplishments: Completed my year there at Warren High School, moved back to Beaumont after getting married.

Shipping and Receiving Manager (01/01/2004 – 02/15/2005)

All shipping and receiving responsibilities went through me.

Last Employer: Munro's Safety Aparrel

Responsibilities: I was in charge of all shipping and receiving for Munro's Safety Apparel. I checked inventory in each day and matched it to data sheets making sure they matched. Once that was complete, all work had to be entered into our computer database. In the evenings I packaged up all outgoing material and prepared them for shipping.

Accomplishments: I received 2-3 raises over my time there which was nice since I was only a part time employee while finishing my degree.

Electrician (03/13/2003 – 01/20/2004)

I was a licensed electrician for Mundy Companies.

Responsibilities: Any electrical probems that arose we had to take care of and fix. This ranged from replacing light bulbs to changing out 50k watt electrial boxes.
