Additional Information

Research Projects: Bioinstrumentation Design • Designed measurement devices used in measuring biological systems including transducers, signal conditioning and recording components. • Successfully performed error analysis and compared the differences between the measurements in biological systems and physical systems. Rainwater Harvesting System Design • Identified rainwater harvesting as the potential costs-saving solution for water usage by CAMTAC Linamar Plant located in Guelph. • Determined all manufacturing processes requiring water and successfully completed engineering drawings for system components and their assembly, costs and quantities of all components, and engineering modeling results demonstrating system performance. Thermal Processing of a beverage in a Can • Determined the spoilage time of a product under different temperature conditions and can sizes using the Matlab computer software. • Developed methods to control microbial population by sterilizing the product under controlled conditions of temperature and volume. Biological Engineering Final Design • Designed an efficient chemical separation system under the supervision of Dr. G. Mittal for a biopharmaceutical company named “Saponin Inc ”, and developed the separation of an extracted chemical known as “Podophyllotoxin” (an anticancer drug) with the main constraints of minimum energy consumption, process time and cost, and product loss.
