Work Experience
Drywall Installer (05/13/2002 – 06/18/2007)
Last Employer: Hakes Drywall
Contact Person: Scott Hakes (715) 703-3656
Responsibilities: We installed drywall to new homes and also remodels and commercial jobs. We also did the actual building/framing at time's also.
Accomplishments: I started out not knowing too much about drywall, and basically learned every aspect of hanging drywall the correct way, from a boss that had 25 year's of experience in the field.
Carpenter/supervisor/Fixture Installer (08/04/2007 – 03/08/2010)
Last Employer: Forman Industries
Contact Person: Michael Hanson Proj.Mgr (715)896-9466
Responsibilities: Install fixtures into new stores and also remodels throughout the United States. I had many responsibilities that included carpentry, and leading the crew to specific daily tasks. I was also responsible for the incoming fixture deliveries, and shipping of old fixtures to various locations. Another aspect of the job was coordinating, and working with store manager's on a daily basis. I also have 10 plus year's operating forklift's, and scissor lift's.
Accomplishments: I started out as a fixture installer/carpenter and quickly advanced to a supervisory position.
Carpenter/Fixture Installer (03/10/1994 – 04/15/2002)
Last Employer: Whitewater Construction
Contact Person: Jamie Dahl (715) 379-9054
Responsibilities: We did most of the things that are described in the Forman Industries position except that we did a lot more building/commercial and occasionally residential.
Accomplishments: I started out as basically a golpher, and quickly learned all different aspects of carpentry work. The job was very demanding, and had to travel alot as well.
Education
Establishment: Stanley-Boyd High School
Degree: Diploma
Education Period: 08/10/1988 - 05/08/1991
Average Grade: I was a B average student
Skills
I gained many skills throughout the years of working construction, including the fore mentioned carpentry apprenticeship. There is'nt too many things that really worry me when it comes to getting the job done fast and efficient as possible.
Computer Skills: I have basic computer skills, the jobs I have had in the past did'nt really require it. But I can use Windows efficiantly, and other basic programs. I would like to learn more someday.
Additional Information
I have been working for Scott with Hakes Drywall since I left the Forman Industries job. Rather than type out the Hakes Drywall information twice, I put it in the latest job category. So that explains why the dates are flip-flopped on my 2 latest jobs. I also help out a friend cooking at her restaurant, and also help a friend installing high security fencing for X-Cel Energy, and Dairyland Power Cooperative.
Certifications or Licensures: Carpenter Apprenticeship, and I also have about 10 years forklift experience in a warehouse type setting, and a construction setting as well.
Interests
I love to play golf, and like to do it often with my friend's on the weekend's. One of the things I've learned about it is that you have to be honest, patient and very coordinated. I am also a musician and love to play my guitar's on a nightly basis. I like spending time in the outdoor's, fishing and hunting when I can.
