Research Projects: As a part of my Curriculum I had to undertake a research on any of the latest IT topics and I with one of my batch-mate conducted a study on cloud computing platforms and business model. We developed and deployed a sample web application with some basic CRUD functionalities and then we studied the performance of the application on the cloud. Based on our findings we wrote an experience report. Secondly we performed a general study on the cost models provided by various cloud computing vendors and then estimated the economical benefits of moving to cloud. Our study was very helpful for our School to include “cloud computing” as part of M.Tech curriculum this year.
