Objective

I am seeking a position as a surgery scheduler. I have spent the last 5 years as a medical assistant at a urology clinic doing nursing duties and the past year being the superuser setting up our new electronic medical records system.  Training the staff and building the system were just a couple of the duties i have spent the past year working on.  I have excellent customer service and always make the patient my first priority.  I was able to get familiar with CPT and DX codes while scheduling surgeries and calling insurances for authorization of services.

Skills

My skills have brodened in the past several years, I went to Houston Texas for a urodynamics training and have spent the past 5 years gaining knowledge in the workings of an office. I have had to learn a knew computer system and train staff members including doctors on the use of the system. I work well with other offices as well as the hospital and surgery centers staff.

Computer Skills: I learned a new computer EMR system and I took some computer classes in college.

Interests

I am the type of employee that takes her job very seriously and look forward to increasing my knowledge base.  I always put my patients first and I am a dedicated employee to my office currently.
