Support for Hilltopper student athletes inside the classroom and in the arena through office, website and fund raising support is a position that will benefit from my technical skills, high level of organization and professional, yet accessible manner.

As HAF Office Associate and former student athlete, I will work to aid HAF staff in ensuring that young people can excel both academically and athletically. 

 

Work Experience

International Missionary (04/28/2008 – 04/29/2010)

I spent two years hiking through the rain forests and mountains of Costa Rica and Panama to complete an evaluation of Christianity among an isolated indigenous people group.

Responsibilities: GPS mapping in the rain forests and mountains of Costa Rica and Panama, pastoral support and counseling, coordinating volunteer groups and profiling the state of evangelical Christianity among the Ngabe people of Panama.

Accomplishments: Construction of three churches, coordinating and leading four US volunteer groups, mapping and profiling of nearly 60 churches.

Details: While I was at CU, I was the web designer for Phi Beta Lambda, SGA and the wrestling team, President of Student Government, First Class mentor, LINC student orientation team member and a member of various religious groups.

Skills

Psychically and intellectually able bodied and dedicated. Organized and can handle secretarial work.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Photoshop. Capable with HTML web design. Able typist at 80 WPM.

Foreign Language Skills: 4 years of Spanish in high school plus 2 years living abroad in Panama and Costa Rica. Language proficiency certificate received from El Instituto de Lengua Espanola in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and canoeing. I also enjoy assisting my mother and stepfather on their farm and working with my hands.

 

In highschool I ran for cross country team, and in both high school and college I ran track, exceling in the hurdles. I also enjoy playing football and soccer recreationally and watching them on television.

 

I am very musical, playing the piano, guitar, mandolin, singing in my church choir and acting in school and community theater.
