My son, who is now 30, has ADD and a Perceptual /Communicative disorder. While he was attending school at Falcon and later at Ellicott, I gained much knowledge of ways to assist him by working with the PPBOCES and the special ed depts of each school. I feel this knowledge has helped me deal not only with my son but other people through out my life. I was a substitute nurse at the Falcon Elementary during the years of 1987-1989. I took a 8 month nursing course my senior year of high school. As a teenager I helped take care of my two great aunts. Blanche was blind and Genevieve was deaf and blind. Many wonderful hours were spent helping them and being amazed at how these two women lived alone and basically needed very little help!
