Objective

I am a hard working 24 year old individual looking for full time work. I have lots of experience running multiple types of machinery both on surface and underground. I grew up on a farm running many types of machinery and the ranching lifestyle is what I love so I am not afraid to work hard.


Work Experience

Shipper/Reciever (06/26/2006 – 09/15/2008)

Got to use manual and power pallet jacks to move large skids and load and unload trucks. Also experienced and comfortable driving 5 ton truck to do pick up at local barns.

Responsibilities: My responsibilities were to build and load orders onto multiple trucks. I had to unload and load orders and other shipments that came into the warehouse. Had to rotate stock so first in first out.

Accomplishments: I worked my way fron linemen up to shipper reciever.

Got lots of experience on house building and landscaping skills. driving tractor, running a packer, mini excavator.

Lots of experience in different job areas from driving truck to operating equipment and both brush saw and chainsaw. Also experienced with loading and unloading equipment and securing machine to deck. Have experience performing pre trip inspections on Gravel trucks and machines, familiar with greasing and general maintenance on big and small machinery.

Responsibilities: Started with snowplowing with bobcat in the winter months in parking lots and apartment complexs. Then went into pipeline clearing for Kinder Morgan running a brush saw and Chainsaw. I took my air brakes endorsment and moved up to driving the single axle dump truck delivering product to different job sites.

Farm Labour (04/15/2010 – Present)

Lots of time on a tractor pounding posts and fencing. Driving pick up and both 20 foot flat deck and goose neck livestock trailer. Hauling equipment,hay and livestock.

I started with Cementation at the New Afton Project in Kamloops B.C. and since then i have done my best to get familiar with all duties that are involved with Cementation. I have also pushed to get trained and signed off on most of the equipment so that i am flexible in all work areas.

Responsibilities: Cutting, grooving and installing 2,4,6 and 8 inch pipe. Some stoper work installing dywidags hanging and aligning trays, ground support with jackleg. Handling explosives and asssisting in loading and tying in blasts. Mucking and blowing bench, installation of conveyor trays and galleries, working around open holes and up in genie lifts. Transporting long heavy and wide loads up and down ramp on stoneboats. Working alongside mechanics on mining equipment. Have worked in an am comfortable in an alimak.

Accomplishments: Since i started i have been trained and signed off on many pieces of equipment such as Maclean Transmixer, Maclean Marcotte and BTI Boomtrucks, Maclean and Teledyne Scissor lifts, Cat 930 loader, Cat Skidsteer with multiple attachments, Kubota Backhoe, Overhead crane, Concrete and Shotcrete pumps and 40 ton haul truck with some scoop experience. Have dumped in a crusher and loaded transmixer through slickline.

Skills

Have many skills running many peices of machinery both big and small on surface and underground. Have skills in carpentry and construction such as concrete foundation work. Familiar with pretrip and post trip inspections as well as greasing. I am familiar with fencing and am not afraid to work hard and get the job done.

Additional Information

I enjoy the underground mining lifestyle, have no problems working long runs days or nights. I am the safety rep for our crew and i do my best to have any workers concerns addressed as soon as possible. I believe zero harm to man and machine is achievable and a clean well operational piece of gear is a safe piece of gear. EDUCATION- I attended South Kamloops Secondary School for Grade 8 -12. I graduated from SKSS in 2006

Interests

I have a great deal of interest in the 4h Beef program. 4-H allowed me to develop my public speaking skills as well as my communication skills.  I have had the oppurtunity to meet many interesting people over the ten years I have raised show steers. Raising an animal and growing up on a farm operating equipment at a young age has taught me great responsibility.
