Objective

I love working with people and dealing with different situations, I view it as a challenge to be met. I have worked with TSA since June of 2006 and in customer service of some sort since I was seventeen, I enjoy the challenge of helping the public, customers, and colleagues to find solutions to problems.


Work Experience

TSO (06/11/2006 – Present)

Employed since 06/2006 with TSA, I have experience in dealing with difficult people and complex decision making due to extenuating circumstances of the traveler. As well as customer service and diffusing situations with extremely irate passengers.

Responsibilities: I am a security officer and enforce the security requirements set by TSA. I perform pat-downs, implement regulations, operate and x-ray, operate a WTMD, operate a CTX-80, and perform my required tasks with the utmost professionalism and courtesy to the public.

Accomplishments: In 2007 and 2008 I received the Role Model award, given to TSO's who are exemplary employees and mirror TSA's goals in service.

Barista (12/08/2001 – 01/25/2003)

It was a great place to work, great people, atmosphere, customers. I had my daughter in February of 2003 and she was the only reason I left.

Last Employer: Churchill's Coffee Co.

Responsibilities: I made specialty coffee drinks, helped customers, sold merchandise, and cleaned.

Accomplishments: I had mastered all available positions, including: Dishwasher, food prep, cook, barista, and would sometimes manage in the absence of a manager.

Cashier (03/23/2005 – 11/09/2007)

I worked here waiting to get my current position at TSA. It was a good job, I enjoyed the different kinds of people and experiences that I had while working there. I was sad to leave.

Last Employer: Fast n' Friendly

Responsibilities: I was a cashier, kept the store stocked and cleaned, as well as provided excellent customer service.

Accomplishments: I was offered an assistant manager position but declined, due to my pending employment status with TSA, a much more secure job opportunity.

Skills

I have a knowledge of computers, excellent customer service abilities, a good attitude, and I am capable of learning quickly.

Computer Skills: I have many years of experience with computers and have completed courses at OTC on using Microsoft Office products.

Foreign Language Skills: I have a basic level of understanding of ASL.

Additional Information

Honors: I was on the President's List for my last semester at OTC for a 4.0 GPA.

Interests

I am interested in art, music, language, literature, and life in general. I enjoy exercising regularly and running, as well as volunteering at the clothing bank. I love people and enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new foods and places.
