Objective
I am transitioning from the United States Marine Corps and searching for a job in communications. For over 8 years I have been working with multiple frequency bands of radios to include High Frequency, Very High Frequency, Ultra High Frequency and Satellite Communications. I have gained 8 years of experience and knowledge in six different radios to include proper handling, maintenance, radio etiquette and voice and data encryption.

Communications Chief (08/02/2010 – Present)
Last Employer: United States Marine Corps, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Advisor Training Cell
Responsibilities: Communications Chief for the Afghanistan Border Police Mentor Team (ABP). Acquired all Radios and Equipment to self-sustain the ABP for 7 months while in Afghanistan. Maintained satellite and Frequency hopping communications with higher headquarters. Weekly and monthly accountability to include maintenance on all radios and equipment. Independent and reliable as the only Marine that knows how to work with the communications equipment. Taught 11 Marines and 1 Corpsman on basic use of the radios, proper handling and proper speech etiquette.
Radio Supervisor (05/10/2008 – 02/12/2009)

Responsibilities: Set-up and Maintain multiple radio systems that included satcom, high frequency, and very high frequency radios. Set- up and maintain communication to multiple ships that were over 50 miles away. Involved in talking across the country of Kuwait using only VHF and HF radios with a Retransmission site. Taught and mentored multiple Marines on how to be a good communicator and how to operate and maintain multiple radio systems. Did nightly, weekly and monthly accountability of hundreds of radio systems and equipment.
Radio Operator/Radio Supervisor (10/15/2005 – 11/15/2007)

Responsibilities: Non-Commissioned Officer for the Communications section. Set-up and deliver radios to each company. Monthly accountability of classified and unclassifed equipment. Instructor for over 100 Marines on Single Channel Radios and Frequency hopping, as well as instructing on proper set-up of radios and voice encryption.
