objective
To narrow it down to one type of position is difficult. I have skills that range from one end of the spectrum to the other. Some examples would be excellent people skills, problem solving, designing (no specific form), artistically inclined, mechanically inclined, a very quick learner, and a thirst for learning just about anything. I enjoy challenging myself and this has resulted in the development of several different realms of knowledge and skills.
Work Experience
Fire Sprinkler System Installer (01/05/2004 – 05/05/2009)
Installing all aspects of fire suppression systems in all forms of buildings from multi high rises in Washington DC to Churches outside of Fredericksburg. I have worked in small spaces and large spaces such as, the very top of elevator shafts to large warehouses. Also, i have done installation on brand new buildings as well as service work for sprinklers systems that date bake to the early 1940's.

Accomplishments: I was given the opportunity to become a fire sprinkler system designer after working in installation for two and a half years. This allowed me to go back to college while also being able to see the entire other side of the fire sprinkler industry. I had an active role in obtaining permits, designing and modifying blueprints to assure that the fire suppression systems met all the required codes and regulations. I was then responsible for meeting with fire marshals from several different jurisdictions to make sure our modifications met there standards and codes. I was also given the responsibility of being a key holder and making sure the office was locked up every night when i left.

Skills
My current field of study is Urban Planning. The element of design is what attracted me to this field. Beginning my working career in commercial construction allowed me to realize that i am very mechanically inclined, a great problem solver, and enjoy all aspects of design from planning to the physical building of whatever it is i am designing. I am good with motorcycle engines, and have the ability to teach myself how to fix almost anything.
Computer Skills: Microsoft office certified, a fair amount of knowledge with GIS systems, and I am very good with AUTO Cad design systems with a little over two years of real life work experience.
Interests
I have a few interests that i find myself doing on my own time. I have a strong passion for motorcycles. I like everything about them from fixing them to racing them (on a track of course). I also have an inherited talent for art, typically drawing but i have dabbled into other medias as well. I played football and baseball through high school and up until last year i was in an adult wooden bat league. Up until last year i attended to gym to exercise at least five days a week but i suffered and injusry that has left me leary about getting back into it.
