Responsibilities: June 1990 - January 2010 Purchased and restore this historic 6,700 sq. ft. hotel building; opened and successfully operated the c.1888 Bed & Breakfast Hote for 17 years until a devistating flood closed the business. I created a health conscious environment including meals prepared with fresh, whole ingrredients from my organic garden whenever possible, in order to meed the demands of a growing niche market. In the process, I acquired "green" building skills and familiarized myself with my eco-friendly building and health care products. During the 17 years I impelemented and managed all aspects of the Hotel business, from employee relations, front desk registration/reservations, customer service, bookkeeping, marketing, decorating and housekeeping.
Accomplishments: Prior to purchasing and restoring the Hotel building, I was relocated to CA from Newton, MA and promoted to Mktg. Program Manager to write and implement the Corporate Customer Service Policies and Procedures Manual and develop a standardized training program to train the management team in the field to train their personnel. I was quickly promoted to Mktg. Program Analyst where I managed a project team responsible for developing and implementing programs to package and market computer hardware service products to our existing customer base; generating 1.5M in annual incremental recurring service revenues for the company. I met several quotas and received several bonus'. While owning/managing the Hotel, I was Treasurer/Secretary, 2 yrs., Camino-Pollock Pines Chamber of Commerce, President 3 yrs., Historic Country Inns of El Dorado County, Secretary 2 yrs., Historic Country Inns of El Dorado County, The Hotel was votel Best Bed & Breakfast in El Dorado County for three(3) consecutive years., Volunteer 1 yr. First United Methodist Church, Sacramento, 9 mos. Salvation Army, 3 mos. Mather Community Campus.
