Five years of heading up a Project for those needing assistance and not served by other agencies. Help was usually given annoymously. Most recipients were farm families losing their farms after generations had held and worked the land.

Responsibilities: Raised awareness of needs of families who were in adverse circumstances through economic conditions and not served by other agencies through public speaking engagements, letters, and newpaper articles. Found professionals in medicine, law, education, and retail who were willing to donate services or money to the project. Screened applicants who were referred by churches and community members. Accepted donations from organizations and individuals throughout the year but especially around Christmas. Screened, trained, and supervised volunteers.
Accomplishments: The first year 16 individuals were provided Christmas gifts and services. By the end of the fifth year, help had been extended year round and served over 160 individuals.
