My goal is to obtain a job in a kitchen where I can put my key characteristics of being creative, organzied and a people person to use. I have about four years experience in kitchen in both a cooking and management role, so I will be able to bring the skills I have already learned to my next job.
Work Experience
Private Care Giver (09/01/2001 – 09/01/2002)
I was the weekend care giver for a severely brain damaged, quadrapalegic young man.

Responsibilities: I was responsible for helping this young man with his daily activities, which included eating, going to the bathroom, going swimming, taking him for walks and accompanying him with activities done for his entertainment (reading, useing the computer etc).
Accomplishments: I feel that through this job I gained a lot of respect for people with disabilities. It taught me to be patient and compassionate.
Line Cook/Prep (09/01/2004 – 02/01/2005)
Dishwasher, appetizer cook, salad cook and saute cook.

Responsibilities: Initially I was responsible for washing dishes and basic prep, but I was moved up to work on the line first making salads and appetizers and then to the saute station.
Accomplishments: I learned to work in close quarters with other people, work under stress and to be very clean/organized.

I started on the salad and appetizer station and then was moved to doing the saute station, grill and call/finish on the line.

Responsibilities: I was responsible for various positions throughout my time at Earl's, which were salad/appetizer station, saute station, grill station and call/finish. I also learn't how to close the kitchen each night.
Accomplishments: I learn't to work in close quarters with other people, to be creative, be very organized and pay attention to detail.
Assistant Kitchen Manager (02/01/2006 – 09/01/2008)
Overseeing operations of the kitchen, including ordering product, organizing employees and ensuring the food going out to the customers was efficient and excellent quality.
