Responsibilities: Responsible for antepartum, laboring and/or postpartum patient care in a highly technical and complex hospital environment. Work cooperatively with physicians, medical professionals, patients, their family members, and other hospital to provide quality patient care. Alternating charge nurse accountability as assigned by nurse manager. -Supervise 8-17 staff nurses. -Evaluate staffing requirements, floor assignments and organize unit activities. -Communicate physicians orders to appropriate departments utilizing computerized data system.
