objective

I am seeking a position that will utilize my background, education and experience.  A position that requires an understanding of diverse populations and cultures.  Problem solving, task oriented and team building are some of the areas of strength.  A challenging position where hard work is the norm and a belief in the intrinsic value of all people are some of the values that I possess.  Determination and creativity as well as providing high quality service, leadership and support to staff should also be included. A respect for clients is a must.

I have a strong background in counseling, crisis intervention, guidance and problem solving. I possess insight, empathy and integrity.  I enjoy working with people, as my background and experience suggest.

If these are some of the qualities that you are looking for in an employee, co-worker, associate or leader, I hope that I will be granted an opportunity to discuss this further in person.

Interests

I have been a retail business owner and a real estate salesperson.  For many years I worked in the garment industry. After the birth of my daughter, I decided to return to school so that I could do something more meaningful and that would help others. I decided to become a social worker and it was the right choice. While working at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY, I became involved with The American Cancer Society and facilitated a breast cancer support group and conducted the "I Can Cope" series for women going through cancer treatment. I enjoy music, entertaining friends, gardening, decorating my home. I have three adult children that are doing well.
