Objective

Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing the dept. staff. Inventory control, solving outs, ordering features and communicating with buyers. Completion of price changes, negative on hands, count requests and need to counts on a daily basis. Taking ownership of the dept.'s inventory and assigning tasks to the staff to deal with the inventory in a way to drive sales. Maintaining integrity. Customer Service. Accomplishments: Originally started with Walmart as a cashier. Then went to the Courtesy Desk and Layaway. These were in the New Westminster store in BC. Then I transfered to the Guildford store in Surrey, BC where I became a CSM. We moved to Medicine Hat in Aug 2007 where I was cashier and courtesy desk till I got the F/T electronics associate position. I did this position for just over a year when I got the Electonics Dept. Mgr. position, and Having doing this position since setup of our supercentre in the fall of 2008.

Responsibilities: Oversaw a staff of 2-14, responsible for job allocation. Supervised and instituted procedures re inventory, which resulted in accurate Inventory control. Arranged transportation and delivered staff to various job sites. Effectively addressed customer needs and demands. Data entry, MS Word, MS Office, Word Perfect, Excel, Outlook Express and Windows 98
Swing Manager in training (09/10/1991 – 07/01/1998)

Responsibilities: Managed staff of up to 15 during a 8 hour shift. Assigned breaks. Monitored product quality and freshness. Dealt with customer concerns and needs. Trained new associates and upgraded skills of current employees. Kept training manuals up to date and organized. Handled all cash transactions, till balancing and nightly deposits.
Accomplishments: Started as front counter employee, learning drive thru. Then became a cook then to a crew chief that ran the back end and controlled quality control.
